For superior high-performance, high production bore sizing and finishing, the ML2000 or the ML5000 are your solutions.

Sunnen Power Stroking combined with Automatic Size Control and patended Dual Feed Pressure means better control of bore size, finish and geometry at high production rates.

A major benefit of the ML machines is their ability to handle hard materials efficiently.

Open, blind, heavy, thin-walled, splined and tandem parts acn all be honed using the ML machines.

Setup is fast and easy and is handled from the front of the machine without raising a cover.

The PLC System Control incorporated into the SV Series machines ensures quick setup and operation.

Perfect for honing of hydraulic cylinders, compressor bodies, Diesel engine liners and the like.

The enclosed work area provides a clean working environment and ensures operator safety.

The SV-310 Vertical Honing Machine iincorpoates an all new stroking system that produces a true vertical stroke and can dwell in any part of the bore end to end, selectively removing stock for the straightest roundest bore possible. The innovative stroking system delivers consistent cross hatch patern throughout the entire length of the hole.

The Sunnen SV-1000 is used for mid to high volume production in small bores from 3mm to 65mm. With a new feed system that has load sensing to minimize cycle time spent "cutting air". With an all new stroking system that can dwell in any part of the bore.

PG & Dial Bore Guaging

In addition to Sunnen honing machines, Watsons also sell Sunnen precision gauging.

For more information on the PG Gauging please download this pdf document (333kb PDF)

Unlike the traditional spring plunger mechanism in the gauging head, the Sunnen gauge uses an exclusive “ball crank” pivot. This system eliminates the wear and “sticking” typical of other gauges when used in harsh workshop environments. All Sunnen gauges have carbide gauging points, indexable indicator, shock shields and adjustable centralisers.
